Can anyone help with this, asking on behalf of a friend who collects Egypt material.
I have a postcard apparently used Egypt which is stampless, endorsed in m/s "F.M.", with datestamp 'POSTE AUX ARMEES / *600*' dated 4 -10 /26. I'm trying to establish why French forces were O.A.S. in Egypt in 1926.
Thanks in advance

I am no expert on the French presence in Egypt but I do know that the Secteur Postal 600 was that of the Armée du Levant operating in Syria from c1926 to the start of WW2. Is there any evidence that the postcard in the hands of your friend was actually posted in Egypt? It could have been bought there but posted from Syria.
