I purchased this stamp with what looks like a plate flaw in the 'f' of the value. I see nothing about it in the catalogues or in Storch and Françon's book. Does anyone know if this is a true plate flaw? How common is it?

Hello Larry
I have a copy of the 'Catalogue des variétés de France 1900-1964' by Wanos and de Belleville published in 1964 which is, despite its age, the most detailed listing available but I regret to say there is no reference to your flaw in it. It is certainly a distinct one and of some interest to Merson collectors.
